LIVING IN AUCKLAND 2015
I'VE BEEN LIVING IN AUCKLAND for 7 years. Auckland is now a multi-ethnic, international town, probably something different from the rest of New Zealand. If you get settled down in here, it becomes a little hard to understand what's going on in the rest of New Zealand. Auckland's lifestyle is hectic, fast, alienated and slightly surreal. Aucklanders have definitely lost the old-fashioned Kiwi lifestyle. And the South looks like a foreign land. I can see via Facebook that the far-right group RWR is growing in New Zealand (now in Northland and Southern West Coast) and I think that Aucklanders are not very aware of this, maybe too busy and happy of their hedonistic lifestyle, shaped by diversity. The Future of Kiwiland appears uncertain. We'll see what happens next...
